The Warehouse Manager is responsible for monitoring, supervising, and training warehouse associates performing standard functions including, but not limited to, order picking and processing; delivery receipts and processing; truck loading and unloading; inventory movement, reconciliation, and management; housekeeping/5S; maintenance; security; administration; and compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) and other regulatory requirements.

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

  • Represent, and serve as, site management in the absence of more senior site managers and operate within framework outlined by site management and corporate guidelines.
  • Supervise team members, other employees, contractors, and visitors on site property.
  • Perform functions related to team member training, performance, counseling, and discipline.
  • Participate in and/or lead meetings at the site level.
  • Maintain site organization, housekeeping, security, and EH&S standards in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Report promptly to Warehouse Supervisor or cognizant management any issues negatively impacting safety, site operations or execution of daily goals and objectives.
  • Track and record all product inventory in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Receive and store deliveries of products in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Monitor and initiate replenishment requests of site supplies as needed.
  • Process customer and transfer orders in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Pick, pack, and ship orders.
  • Inspect inbound and outbound shipments for condition and accuracy.
  • Identify, segregate, report and return damaged, defective, or rejected product.
  • Monitor and operate material handling equipment for movement of goods.
  • Investigate, address, and resolve complaints concerning shipment or inventory condition, accuracy, or processing timeliness.
  • Perform enterprise resource planning (ERP)/warehouse management system (WMS) inquiries and transactions supporting order processing, inventory management and requests for information.
  • Perform inquiries and entries in other business program applications.
  • Document, investigate, and implement corrective actions for EH&S related hazards, near misses and incidents.
  • Monitor maintenance, repair and operation of site systems and equipment.
  • Collect, maintain, and report site metrics concerning safety, quality, and performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Possess strong organizational, administrative, and supervisory skills.
  • Administer counseling, performance management and discipline professionally and commensurate with the position.
  • Maintain physical stamina, endurance and strength required to move equipment and products weighing up to 75 pounds consistently for duration of daily shifts.
  • Promote and exemplify teamwork, cooperation, and respect.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, essential for working with employees, contractors, visitors, and customers.
  • Demonstrate familiarity and proficiency with site ERP/WMS and other business applications.
  • Demonstrate physical dexterity and aptitude required to operate warehouse material handling equipment.
  • Display capability for efficient time management, effective multi-tasking, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with EH&S requirements, regulatory guidelines and site safety precautions, and ability to enforce values and standards consistently, positively and confidently.
  • Possess high school diploma or GED.
  • Possess prior experience with standard shipping, receiving and inventory management processes.
  • Satisfy all conditions listed on the attached Physical Requirements Matrix.
