This is not a reporting or spreadsheet consolidation role. This position requires strong business judgment, deep system fluency, and the ability to challenge demand assumptions and drive alignment across commercial and operational stakeholders.

This role is accountable for developing, maintaining, and executing a credible, actionable demand plan that reflects real market signals and business priorities. The individual will serve as the single point of accountability for demand accuracy, ensuring the ERP and MRP systems are kept current so downstream planning processes function effectively.

Success in this role requires comfort with direct, data-driven conversations to resolve misalignment between demand expectations, service commitments, and inventory realities.

This role can be remote for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the demand plan and ensure forecasts are accurate, realistic, and continuously refined
  • Translate commercial demand signals into executable system inputs that support customer and financial performance
  • Actively challenge forecast inputs, assumptions, and timing with Sales and other stakeholders
  • Drive resolution of demand gaps, spikes, and timing issues through structured, fact-based discussions
  • Maintain demand-related planning parameters within the ERP system to ensure MRP outputs are valid and usable
  • Upload and maintain inventory reorder quantities aligned to the approved demand plan
  • Maintain customer lead times to reflect realistic service commitments
  • Use existing tools to refine inventory allocation across the ICP warehouse network
  • Generate and manage intra-company transfer orders driven by demand and inventory positioning needs
  • Monitor transfer execution and ensure inventory balances are accurate and timely
  • Track adherence to shipping and transfer performance metrics
  • Perform periodic reconciliation of eCommerce inventory
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities related to demand quality and execution

Experience needed:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment is required
  • Hands-on experience working with MRP in a live manufacturing ERP system is required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel expertise is required (complex formulas, large datasets, data integration; VBA strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of demand planning fundamentals and push/pull concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly in ERP systems to maintain planning integrity (Syspro experience a plus)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert data into decisions
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, including the ability to challenge assumptions constructively
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with limited structure
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to other ICP domestic locations

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
