ICP Group is looking to identify a Director of Enterprise Applications for SYSPRO ERP to join our team..  The Director of Enterprise Applications for SYSPRO ERP will provide both strategic vision and hands-on leadership to optimize SYSPRO ERP across ICP Group. This role will initially focus on managing the successful delivery of a critical Syspro implementation project on-time and within budget, with clear deliverables such as the Proof of Concept and multiple go-live dates. Beyond the implementation, the Director will continue to play a key leadership role, driving the long-term strategy, optimization, and expansion of all Syspro-related initiatives across ICP. This is a full-time, permanent role offering growth opportunities beyond the project phase, with a focus on ongoing leadership and innovation.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Project Leadership for ICP Syspro Implementation/Optimization:
    • Lead the successful implementation of the Proof of Concept for Choice Adhesives by May 1st, 2025.
    • Drive the successful go-live of Gardner Gibson and Sun companies by September 1st, 2025.
    • Ensure the successful implementation of ICP Building Solutions (Sage Companies) by January 1st, 2026.
    • Lead the overall project management for the Syspro implementation at ICP, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
    • Define the project management framework, including the scope, deliverables, timelines, and key milestones, while ensuring effective resource allocation.
    • Work closely with the internal business team, internal IT team, Syspro resources, Syspro project manager, and external vendors to guarantee collaboration and alignment throughout the implementation.
    • Monitor and track project progress, identifying risks early and implementing mitigation strategies to avoid delays or budget overruns.
    • Ensure adherence to best practices in project management, including structured risk management, change management, and continuous stakeholder communication.
    • Regularly report on the project’s status to senior leadership and the project steering committee, providing detailed updates on performance, budget, and issues.
  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for SYSPRO ERP, aligning with ICP Group’s business objectives and growth.
    • Identify innovation opportunities within the ERP system to support strategic goals.
  • Team Management:
    •  Lead and mentor a team of technical professionals responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and support of SYSPRO ERP systems.
    •  Foster a collaborative team environment and encourage professional development.
  • Integration and Customization:
    • Drive initiatives to integrate SYSPRO ERP with other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process efficiency.
    • Manage customization projects to tailor the ERP system to specific business needs.
  • Business Process Improvement:
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and implement process improvements using SYSPRO ERP capabilities.
    • Analyze business needs and translate them into system solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor management, including contracts, negotiations, and ensuring the alignment of vendor deliverables with project milestones.
    • Act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating effective communication to ensure project success and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Training and Support:
    • Develop training programs and documentation to enhance user understanding and adoption of SYSPRO ERP.
    • Oversee the transition to support teams post-go-live, ensuring continuity of service and troubleshooting.

Experience needed:
 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years managing and implementing SYSPRO ERP systems. Proven track record in leading enterprise projects with multi-stakeholder coordination.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of SYSPRO ERP modules, configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills, with a focus on delivering results and maintaining clear stakeholder communication.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification or advanced training in SYSPRO ERP administration or implementation.
  • Experience with industry-specific applications of SYSPRO ERP, particularly in manufacturing, operations, or finance.
