Innovative Chemical Products Group (ICP) is a leading formulator and manufacturer of specialty coatings, adhesives, and sealants serving the building and construction end markets. Founded in 2015 by a private equity firm, ICP has scaled rapidly through organic and acquisition growth into one of the largest coatings, adhesives, and sealants companies in North America providing products which encompass the “building envelope” from roof to flooring and outdoor spaces.  ICP is headquartered in Andover, MA and Tampa, FL and has manufacturing and distribution sites in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and Japan.

ICP is seeking a Sales Director for our Canadian territory.  You will be representing all ICP products, selling to Retail/hardware stores, Retail stores through distribution and Cooperatives.  As a Sales Director, you will facilitate, create and manage distribution and contractor relationships in the assigned geographic region.  You will maintain, service and implement product knowledge and training throughout all levels of interactions, as well as attend distributor events. 

In this role you will be responsible for the following:
  • Develop sales/business plans to meet budget expectations.
  • Drive performance for independent sales representatives to maximize opportunities.
  • Work cross functionally with internal ICP teams to achieve productivity improvements.
  • Create and maintain internal alignment to drive performance within Canada.
  • Working with retail/hardware stores through distribution and cooperatives to drive sales.
  • Routine visits to review product sales, inventory and merchandising promotions.
  • Facilitate training program with retail and cooperative partners monthly.
  • Conduct in-person product classes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with decision makers.
  • Attend and develop distribution Contractor Events.
  • Follow up on Special Order quotes as well as Purchase orders.
  • Achieve sales targets to meet company objectives.
  • Partner with Customer service, distribution and other internal sales teams to ensure the best possible service and effective communication is happening to fulfill orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Sales management team.

Requirements:
  • Associates degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as an account manager, or similar within the Building Material industry.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft office suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of client relationship management strategies.
  • Proven ability to learn then articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Bilingual, French & English required.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel 50%, as well as US travel up to 20%.
