Technical and Integrations Lead, ERP/WMS

Tampa, FL
Full Time
Experienced
Innovative Chemical Products Group (ICP Group) is a leading formulator and manufacturer of specialty coatings, adhesives, and sealants serving the construction and industrial end markets. ICP Group is comprised of leading brands known for innovation, quality, and performance. Founded in 2015 and supported by a lean corporate team, ICP Group has scaled rapidly through organic and acquisition growth into one of the largest coatings, adhesives, and sealants companies in North America. ICP Group is headquartered in Andover, MA and has manufacturing and distribution sites throughout North America, Latin America, UK, Europe and the Asia Pacific region.

ICP Group is looking for a Technical & Integrations Lead to take ownership of the integration backbone that connects our SYSPRO ERP and TransLution WMS ecosystems. As we transition key technical capabilities in-house, this role will be instrumental in improving system reliability, streamlining data flow, and enabling better business decision-making through reporting and automation.

Reporting to the Director of ERP/WMS Service Delivery, you will lead all aspects of system integrations from strategy and design through deployment, monitoring, support, and continuous improvement. You'll also drive the reporting and automation solutions that help our business operate efficiently and at scale.

This position is ideal for a technically curious, hands-on leader who enjoys solving complex integration challenges, improving operational performance, and building solutions that have a direct impact on the business.

The ideal candidate will reside in Tampa, FL or Andover, MA

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

Integration Ownership
  • Own the cross-system integration layer and integration standards across the estate: patterns, error handling, logging, reconciliation, monitoring, and the interfaces between systems. WMS-internal configuration and WMS-specific code sit with the TransLution WMS owner; this role owns what moves between systems, not the inside of the WMS.
  • Own all integrations across SYSPRO, TransLution WMS, electronic data interchange, and connected business systems, from planning through build, deployment, monitoring, and support.
  • Design integration patterns and standards for the estate, covering error handling, retry logic, logging, reconciliation, and alerting.
  • Bring in-house the integration work currently delivered by external parties, with a deliberate transition and knowledge transfer plan.
  • Resolve recurring cross-system issues at root cause rather than by repeated manual correction.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of every interface, including owner, purpose, schedule, dependencies, and failure impact.

Technical Development and Delivery
  • Develop, test, and maintain custom code, extensions, scripts, and automation across the SYSPRO and TransLution environments.
  • Build and maintain the data layer that supports reporting, including SQL objects, views, and scheduled processes.
  • Apply source control, code review, and deployment discipline, so that changes are traceable and reversible.
  • Plan and execute technical updates, patches, and upgrades with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Own technical issues through final resolution, including those that cross system and vendor boundaries.

Reporting, Data, and Artificial Intelligence
  • Own delivery of the reporting layer over SYSPRO and TransLution, including business intelligence models, scheduled reporting, and self-service enablement.
  • Ensure reporting is built on governed, reconciled data rather than on ad hoc extracts.
  • Identify and deliver practical automation and artificial intelligence opportunities that reduce manual effort or surface issues earlier.
  • Partner with the analytics function to avoid duplicated data models and conflicting numbers.

Reliability, Monitoring, and Security
  • Instrument integrations and technical processes with monitoring and alerting, so failures are detected before the business reports them.
  • Support incident response for technical and integration issues, including out-of-hours escalation for critical interfaces.
  • Maintain technical environments, including development, test, and production separation.
  • Apply security, access, and data protection standards to every interface and technical component, in partnership with the security function.

Documentation and Knowledge Transfer
  • Document every integration, technical component, and automation to a standard that allows another engineer to support it.
  • Maintain run books for recovery, reprocessing, and reconciliation.
  • Cross-train colleagues so that technical knowledge does not sit with one person.
  • Write knowledge transfer requirements into partner work, and verify that the transfer actually happened.

Vendor Coordination and Other Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with SYSPRO, TransLution, and other technical partners on scope, quality, and delivery timing.
  • Review vendor technical deliverables against ICP standards before acceptance.
  • Provide technical input into implementation projects, go-lives, and cutovers.
  • Perform additional duties aligned with business needs and individual capabilities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6 or more years in a technical enterprise applications role, with clear ownership of production integrations.
  • Hands-on experience integrating an ERP with warehouse management, electronic data interchange, and reporting platforms. SYSPRO experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience taking outsourced technical work in-house and stabilizing it.
  • Strong SQL and Microsoft SQL Server skills, including stored procedures, performance tuning, and data reconciliation.
  • Development capability in a relevant language such as VB.NET, C#, or Python, with sound engineering practice.
  • Working knowledge of integration approaches including application programming interfaces, web services, file-based transfer, and message queuing.
  • Experience with business intelligence tooling, Power BI preferred, and with scheduled data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and logging for production interfaces.
  • Ability to explain technical failure and technical risk in plain language to business and executive audiences.
  • Collaborative working style with functional colleagues, vendors, and the security team.
  • Clear, current technical documentation as a matter of habit rather than a final step.
  • Willingness to be the named owner when an interface fails.
  • Experience with TransLution WMS or a comparable warehouse management platform, preferred.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure services, including data and integration services, preferred.
  • Practical experience applying automation or artificial intelligence to operational reporting or exception handling, preferred.
  • Manufacturing or distribution industry background, preferred.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
