ICP is seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Sales Director to lead and grow our presence in the big-box home improvement retail sector. This role focuses on developing strategic relationships with a large National corporation, building strong relationships on the corporate side, working closely with merchants, driving sales growth, and ensuring the successful placement and expansion of new and existing roofing products. The position requires strong networking skills, leadership capabilities, and a history of collaborative success with a large National retail account and merchant teams.

This position is based in Atlanta Georgia.

In this role you will be responsible for the following:
  • Complete strategic account understanding that outline’s organizational structure, company profile and mission statement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate-level decision-makers and merchants in the big-box home improvement industry.
  • Development of account relationship power-map outlining key decision makers with relationship status and improvement plan.
  • Development & execution of growth opportunity roadmaps and strategies.
  • Provide clear direction and leadership to retail representatives, ensuring alignment with company sales goals and strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve overall customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and retail partners to optimize sales opportunities and enhance brand presence.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments
  • Partnering with internal Regional Sales Directors building strategy and alignment, fostering a high-performing team culture by mentoring retail representatives and ensuring seamless communication between field and corporate operations.
  • Performing weekly customer updates, as well as preparing sales forecasts and reports.
Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Marketing or related field.
  • Proven Management experience in Retail Sales or similar leadership role within the roofing or building materials industry.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Tableau, Power BI, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • In-depth knowledge of client relationship management strategies.
  • Strong understanding of the big-box retail sector and its operational dynamics.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with corporate merchants.
  • Expertise in product placement and growing sales with merchant teams.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors.
  • Excellent listening, contract negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel 25%
